Must Sees
Bogotá
A whirlwind of sights, sounds, smells, and stories awaits you in Colombia’s dynamic capital. Explore the history of this great country by touring La Candelaria, get a bird’s eye view from the Santuario de Monserrate, or dance the night away at one of Bogotá‘s many nightclubs.

Medellín
Nicknamed “The City of Eternal Spring”, this hillside metropolis is a balmy 72°F almost all year round. Recently named the most innovative city in the world by the Wall Street Journal in 2013, you will find a bustling city bursting with life and ideas. A relatively young city, you will find plenty of entertainment, restaurants, shopping, and nightlife.
Cartagena
One of the most beautiful and well preserved colonial cities, Cartagena will blow you away with its vibrant colors and even more vibrant atmosphere. Spend your days strolling through the antiquated streets and your evenings sipping cocktails on the beach, a perfect recipe to let your worries roll on by.

Unique Sites
La Guajira
Colombia’s northeastern-most province is a lesser-known Caribbean paradise. With long sandy beaches, sleepy villages, and its fair share of historical sites, you can always find something to do here, even if that something is nothing!

Chicamocha Canyon
Dubbed “The Grand Canyon of South America”, this impressive natural phenomenon is one that you must see to believe. Running just over a mile deep and one hundred and forty one miles long, the Chicamocha is an impressive sight, and even more impressive flying hundreds of feet in the air with a Colombian paraglider. No matter how you choose to enjoy this natural wonder, it will be worth your while.
Tatacoa Desert
Known for its stunning star show, the Tatacoa Desert is a particularly unique area of Colombia. Within a ten-minute drive you go from lush mountainsides to barren desert. Make sure you take the time to seek out the swimming oases hidden amongst the rock formations.

Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá
The most unique religious building in the world, this Catedral de Sal features fourteen separate sanctuaries, each representing one of the stations of the cross, all 200 meters underground in an old salt mine. Religious or not, this one-of-a-kind cathedral will blow you away.
Caño Cristales
The Colored River is the most unique river in the whole world. From July through November, the river explodes in a kaleidoscope of colors due to different plants, algae, and sand that make up this beautiful carpet. Like something from a surrealistic painting, this river us unlike any in the whole world.
