Trip Overview
Biking and kayaking are two activities that Bolivia is perfectly suited for with its varied and rugged landscape and phenomenal views. You will find exciting biking on single track and dirt roads. In Bolivia you can kayak the highest lake in South America, Lake Titicaca. Any visit to Bolivia would be incomplete without a trip to the salt flats in the southwest of Bolivia so we will build in a few days to see that amazing sight!
This is a sample itinerary, which we have put together to give you an idea of what a trip might look like. However our strength is in creating custom trips for each and every client so we look forward to adapting this itinerary to your groups interests and abilities!
Day 1 – International Travel Day
Day 1 – International Travel Day
Arrive at over 13,000 feet, drive down into La Paz and start acclimating! Most flights arrive in the morning. Take an easy day resting after the journey here. You might be itching to get going but your body wants you to rest and start acclimatizing properly to feel great during your trip!
Day 2 – Lake Titicaca Kayaking / Reed Islands Tour
Day 2 – Lake Titicaca Kayaking / Reed Islands Tour
In the morning you will have a private transfer from La Paz to Lake Titicaca, only about 30 miles away. After lunch you can choose to take kayaks out on the lake and get your exercise in, or take a guided tour of the reed islands inhabited by the Uros people. Spend the evening in a comfortable boutique hotel nearby.
Day 3 – Lake Titicaca Kayaking / Return to La Paz

Days 4-6 – Full Days of Mountain Biking
Now that your bodies are (hopefully) acclimatized, let the fun begin! With local guides who are passionate about riding, explore the many trails surrounding La Paz. Ranging from beginner level dirt roads to technical single track riding, the mountain biking opportunities are almost endless. Spend the days riding cross-country or take a lift to the top of a mountain and descend 14,000ft all day!
Day 7 – Travel to Uyuni Salt Flats
Day 7 – Travel to Uyuni Salt Flats
After exhausting yourselves on the bikes, you will round your trip out with a visit to an extremely unique area, the Uyuni Salt Flats. A short domestic flight and slightly longer drive will bring to the edge of these famous flats. If it has recently rained, you will be unable to distinguish between land and sky, walking or driving in a dreamland. Spend the evening in a small boutique hotel in Uyuni.
Day 8 – Explore Uyuni Salt Flats / Return to La Paz

Get up early to catch the sunrise over the flats, or let your body rest and sleep-in before heading back out to take in the almost unbelievable flats. After you have gotten your fill, you will drive to the airport and hop a flight back to La Paz for your final night in Bolivia.
