Trip Overview
This is a trip for those who like a little bit of everything, who haven’t yet committed to one favorite sport but like them all equally. You will spend your time exploring the Colombian Andes on your feet and in the air. From hiking to rafting to paragliding, Colombia gives you plenty of opportunities to get your adrenaline pumping!
This is a sample itinerary, which we have put together to give you an idea of what a trip might look like. However our strength is in creating custom trips for each and every client so we look forward to adapting this itinerary to your groups interests and abilities!
Day 1 – Arrive in Bogotá

Whether you are arriving from another South American country or from your home country, today is spent in the air traveling to the capital of Colombia, Bogotá. Private transport to your hotel.
Day 2 – Travel to Villa de Leyva / Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral
Day 2 – Travel to Villa de Leyva / Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral
Your guide and a driver will pick you up in the morning to travel to Villa de Leyva, a small town north of Bogotá. En-route you will stop at Zipaquirá to take a tour of the fantastic Salt Cathedral. Once a salt mine, it was converted into a Cathedral which showcase a series of innovative carvings in the rock walls. Arrive in Villa de Leyva mid-afternoon to relax or play the Colombian game of Tejo (imagine cornhole + gunpowder!).
Day 3 – Canyoneering

You guide will pick you up at your hotel for a full day of canyoneering and rappelling. Hike down a stream bed until it flows over a cliff. Take a peek over the edge before strapping yourself in and rappelling down the waterfall. After returning to the trail-head, you will drive out to the award-winning winery in Villa de Leyva for a tasting and tour of their production facilities.
Day 4 – Páramo Trek

Your guide will pick you up in the morning for a full day of hiking in the Colombian páramo (alpine tundra) which is an ecosystem only found in five countries in the whole world. With stunning 360° views, this is the Andes at it’s most majestic! Spend the night at a lodge at the base of the park.
Day 5 – Travel to Barichara

After breakfast you will spend the day travelling in a private car to Barichara, a few hours north of Villa de Leyva. Arriving at the hotel mid-afternoon, you will have the afternoon and evening to relax and/or explore the charming town.
Day 6 – Hiking & Rafting in Chicamocha Canyon

Your guide will pick you up early for a private transfer to the trail-head at the top of the canyon. After a morning hike down to the canyon floor, you will load up in rafts and set off down the Chicamocha river, full of class III and IV rapids.
Day 7 – Paragliding over Chicamocha Canyon

Today is the most adrenaline filled day. Get up early for a private transport to the Chicamocha canyon where you will receive a briefing on paragliding. When the right winds settle in, you will get strapped up and run off the side of the mountain to take flight over the very river you rafted on the day before. Nothing beats the views you will see during your gliding tour! That afternoon take a private transport to the Bucaramanga airport for a return flight to Bogotá.
Day 8 – City Tour of Bogota

Bogotá is a fascinating city and has more than enough sites to spend a whole day exploring. From La Candelaria, the old colonial section of town, to the top of Montserrate, the mountain towering above the city, you will want to keep your camera handy for plenty of amazing shots. The evening will be free to do as you please, relax with a nice dinner or hit the town to experience the legendary Colombian nightlife!

In the morning you will have a private transfer to the airport to fly back home or on to your next adventure destination!
